Solana doesn't use Gwei. The base fee is a flat 5,000 lamports (0.000005 SOL) per signature. Priority fees are added on top to land transactions faster during congestion — the number above is the median from the last few blocks. During high-demand drops (memecoins, NFT launches) priority fees can spike 100x. If your wallet shows "transaction failed" repeatedly, increase priority fee, not base fee.
